Workspaces isolate your projects

A workspace is the top-level container for everything you save in TabSlate: its own collections, bookmarks, and saved groups. Only one workspace is active at a time, and everything else in the dashboard — the sidebar, the tabs view, search — scopes itself to that active workspace.

Switch between workspaces from the colored workspace icons on the left-hand rail. Clicking one makes it active immediately; nothing you saved in a different workspace shows up until you switch back to it.

Collections group bookmarks within a workspace

Every workspace gets a Default collection automatically the moment it's created — you never start with an empty workspace. Additional collections you create sort above it in reverse-creation order, so the collection you made most recently appears highest in the sidebar, while Default always stays pinned at the top.

Create, rename, and organize

• Create a workspace from Workspace management (the layered-squares icon on the rail): give it a name and pick one of the six workspace colors.
• Create a collection from Add Collection in the sidebar's Collections section, choosing a name and an icon.
• Rename either one at any time from its own menu — this never moves or affects the bookmarks inside it.

Archive, trash, and restore boundaries

Non-default collections can be archived (pulled out of your active view without deleting anything) or moved to Trash (soft-deleted, pending permanent removal). Archiving or trashing a collection carries its bookmarks along with it; restoring it brings them back into the active workspace. See Archive & Trash for how the two differ.

Workspaces have a separate lifecycle from collections. Deleting a workspace from Workspace management doesn't erase it immediately — it moves to a Deleted list there, with all of its collections, bookmarks, and saved groups intact, and can be restored or permanently deleted from that same screen.
